Murder Weapon by Brian Clemens
When Chief Constable Bligh accompanies her friend Diane Tulliver home to Dysart Hall after
a night at the opera they arrive to a horrifying scene. Diane's husband Paul has been shot
dead and ex-convict Charley Mirren is standing over him bearing a gun.
Clemens was one of the UK's best writers of TV drama, creating series such as The
Professionals and Thriller, producing The Avengers and The new Avengers, and contributing
scripts to series as varied as The Persuaders, Perry Mason and Highlander. Murder Weapon
was his last ever script, and it's a well written thriller with a wonderful mix of
characters, great pacing and some lovely flashbacks.
The play has the following characters - as always there will be a degree of flexibility

- Inspector Fremont, male, around 45 or 50
- Constable Walters (male)
- Charley Mirren, about 50, looks older
